pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted May 11, 2006 If the clutch pedal is staying on the floor the clutch cable has snapped I managed to snap on of the release bearing clips & the clutch pedal dropped halfway down its travel when it was resting on the cover springs. DaveK 0 Posted May 12, 2006 im looking at the car just now and the lever that is ontop of the gearbox isnt pulling back on the clutch cable. I can move the pedal up and down with my hand but it just moves the cable not the actualy lever that its attached to. does this mean the release bearing is gone? cheers dave i can move the lever above the gearbox/clutch easily with my hand
jonnie205 1 Posted May 12, 2006 sounds like the clucth arm has broken inside the box or the release bearing has failed or come off the arm
DaveK 0 Posted May 12, 2006 im presuming the only way to fix this is to take the gbox off and have a peek?
