Fuel Line To Spray Bar

The fuel line from the filter to sparay bar keeps pushing itself off, I have a new jublee clip and have recut the pipe but it keeps pushing its self off gradually....it seems to have only started happening lately, is there anything that would up the fuel pressure????.....anyone had this issue??

you should be using a proper fuel hose clamp rather than a jubilee ring really.

 

 

saying that though, its still surprising that the hose is being pushed off so your theory of something causing excess pressure might be right, maybe the return line is blocked somewhere.

maybe the fuel pipe is too large in diameter ? i.e the wrong size ?

Ok Ill see if I can get a fuel clip, just seems odd as its only just starting recently, or so ive noticed, and the car has been stuttering everynow and then especially under pressure.......

A blockage at any point onwards from where the pipe comes off is the likely problem, inc return pipe.

What I find a little strange is how much pressure it would normally take to blow a pipe off. we run some very high pressures and have no problems if the pipe is attached correctly. Trackmonkey could be right in that you may have the wrong hose fitted.

is the car a 8v or 16v? If the latter it's quite common for this to happen due to the wrong banjo fitting being used
