ifcho 0 Posted May 6, 2006 (edited) I'm swapping the engine of my 1.1 carb cabriolet with a XU5M3Z engine. It is a monopoint injection, Magneti Marelli G6.10. The fuel pressure, according to Autodata should be 1 bar (i don't know how much this is in psi?), however I got a fuel pump from a GTI producing 3-4 bars. So would the car still run well with the higher pressure in the fuel system? I see there is a fuel pressure regulator, but I'm not sure it would be capable of handling this pressure. Also the car is equiped with a MAP sensor. The MMG6 single-point injection is very close to multipoint injections, other single-point injections i've seen are much simpler. The car should be outputting 95 bhp (the ecu is tuned by the previous owner of the engine) after the engine switch (compared to the 55bhps prior). I know it is not a true GTI, but it is enough for me now. Edited May 6, 2006 by ifcho
