Difference Xm 2 L En Xm Turbo Head

Recommended Posts

joris_andriesse

Who know's the difference (if there is any) between an citroen xm 2 l head and the one from an xm 2 l turbo?

I now have mounted an 2 l head on my 1.9. I'm wondering or it is an idea to chance it to an 2 l turbo head.

Kind regards,

Joris

there is no difference, but if you put the 2 L head onto the 1.9 block, it's best to skim a milimeter off to get the CR right.

im not trying to say your not correct hilgie because you know your stuff.... But Im 99% positive the combustion chamber shape is different on the 2.0l turbo head, it has two squish area's rather than 1 like the NA heads.

I have had an XM 2.0T head and a 306XSi head next to eachother and couldn't find a difference. But you know Peugeot...they might even have differences within the same model.

Hilgert, I have the 2l head already. I had to skim 1.2 milimeter off to get the CR right.

I understood there would be a differance between the two heads, that's why I asked. But It seems there is no difference, so I will keep on working with this one.

yes...the different CR on the 2.0T engine is accomplished by the lower pistons, not in the head.
