driversdomainuk 8 Posted May 2, 2006 Hi Just been advised by the boys at QEP that my 205 1.9 8v running 45s (used for hillclimbs) would be suited to a 4900342 catcam. Do I need the CR increasing on this one..? I am getting new springs and retainers as part of this package - just over £300 + vat Also, they have quoted £80ish for a venier pully - is this really needed....???? Thanks guys
petert 587 Posted May 2, 2006 (edited) Do I need the CR increasing on this one..? Definitely 11:1 min. for that one. You wouldn't know about the pulley until you fitted the cam. If you're fitting the cam yourself, then it's only your time. But if you're paying someone else it's probably cheaper to do it once. The PSA Group A cam I once had, dialled straight in at 106 deg. with the standard pulley. Who knows with a non OEM part. Edited May 2, 2006 by petert
309PUG 2 1 Cars Posted May 3, 2006 It's the same cam that I have, go for 11.5:1 CR and definately get a vernier pulley.
