Ahl 4 Posted May 2, 2006 Until you get used to doing it by hand, then yes, you should bother with torque values as otherwise most people do things up far too tight. You'll be cursing when the thing breaks, or you can't get it apart again. As a general rule of thumb, most things should be done up until they start to feel tight, then 'nipped' up a small amount.
