Central Locking Prblem ?

hi, if i sit in the car with ignition off, and pull the door pin up and down it only does the drivers one,

 

but if i turn ignition on then do it you can hear it lock / open the boot and passenger side door aswell.

 

 

but when i go to lock the car it only locks the drivers door :S

 

any help please?

Has the wiring been messed about with per-chance? The central locking should work regardless of whether the ignition is on, and lock and unlock from the drivers side only.

 

Check how butchered the wiring is, and if you're still getting problems where it won't lock, then replace the drivers central locking solenoid and see if that cures it.

where is the solenoid?? is it in the drivers door??

Yeah, the drivers door central locking motor/solenoid unit.

 

I think you've got two seperate problems though, as like I said, it should work regardless of the ignition position.
