Oil Pressure Gauge Sender Unit

ok got my new oil pressure gauge sender unit (the big one on the right) went to go fit it today and my 1st thoguht was, how the fuk do you change that? anyone got any tips for me? i dont even own a spanner bigger enough, may have one at work that i can borrow lol

i assume the sender has a nut elment just above the thread ? would have thought it's just a case of getting one the right size to slacken and tighten.

yeah but there is no room to get anything in there really, you can only just get your hand down there let alone a 32mm spanner (roughly that size)

The sender unit I removed on my Mi16 recently had a 40mm A/F plastic hexagonal nut on it which slides over the smaller nut. The new one I also bought had this so I got myself a 40mm socket and was able to take it off easily...

yeah that sounds about right, i know it was a bit size but never actualy measured it. 40mm socket gona be expensize, hopefully there will be something laying about at work, cheers mate

You can push that plastic nut off, it will eventually twist and fail anyway. The normal size nut (16mm?) is underneath.

I managed to get a good grip by sqeezing my arm in and undid it by hand. Would a pair of grips get to it?
