Paintless Dent Removal

Recommended Posts

Right, thanks to a little frustration (understandable if you see my thread in the XU engines section) with my never working properly Mi, I now have a fist sized dent on the driver's side by the sunroof trim at the top of the A-pillar.

Does anyone know if these paintless dent removal people are any good or if there is a magical way of doing it yourself??

I have already pulled the interior trim down on the inside with a view to pushing it back out but there is no direct access to the outer skin from there.

Any ideas, since I have just dirtied my otherwise dent free ph2 205 B) ?

As far as I have been told they are very good but not especially cheap.

I know the chap at my local body shop quite well he had just bought a new toy and offered to try it out on my car its basicly a slide hammer with like a candle on the end you heat it up and it sticks to the panel then you use the slide hammer to pull the dent out. It worked a treat on my car with no damage to the paint.

It depends on the guy doing it. Some are extremely good, but some are pants.

Look for personal recommendations. I know there's a guy that's a bit of a favourite with the PSOOC lot, and he turns out to some of the meets. Maybe someone on here can pass on his details

Cheers PG. I will try and find a recommended one some point.

It's a little academic really since the fecking engine still doesn't work. To top things off I tested the FPR today and on replacing the hose, the jubilee clip slid off the end and went straight into the gearbox hole by the starter motor. Why there is an inch hole there is beyond me :)
