notamondayfan 44 Posted April 30, 2006 hey guys started to clean and service a pair of dellorto 40s and have come across 2 problems. 1. the metal plate in this pic seems to be unmovable (and yes i have removed the 4 screws). is it held by a screw from the inside or is it jus the gasket holding it in place? i have a new gasket to go there, so idealy it needs changed. 2. how do i remove this pin to release the floats, so i can change that gasket? dont wanna force anything incase i break something. thanks, dean! oh also i have an exploded diagram of the carb if ne 1 wants a copy? PumaRacing 2 Posted May 4, 2006 The top cover is only held by the four bolts. If the gasket is holding it work a thin bladed kitchen knife into the join very carefully. Don't scratch the aluminium. The float pin is just a press fit. It can be tapped out with a drift of the appropriate diameter.
