driversdomainuk 8 Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) Hi I have decided that my Weber carbs need a real good clean, and tidying up... A bit of a basic question, but what is the best way to approach this (never touched them before and dont want to risk f***ing them up and make the car run bad or not run at all) Are the carbs easy to remove? or is it simply best to drop some gunk on and wash it off in situ..?? any pointers about doing this would be really appreciated. Also, the throttle linkage/spring looks really tired now - DT are charging over £70 for these, does anyone know who does these cheaper...??? Cheers Edited April 29, 2006 by driversdomainuk
Richie-Van-GTi 74 2 Cars Posted April 29, 2006 buy a tin of carb cleaner and just blast all the dirt away. Best to remove them then you can hold butterfly open and blast right through.
