SamGTi 0 Posted April 28, 2006 I don't have the time to upgrade all the rear beam mounts to Grp A spec at the moment so in the meantime I would like to get some Grp N sandwich mounts (the ones that apparently take 5 mins to swap). Does anybody know where I can get them from? Special Tuning say 'NO'. And how much are they? And will I notice any difference at all with them on without the rest of the mounts uprated? Thanks Sam
jonD6B 0 Posted April 28, 2006 (edited) Personally I'd still go for the Grp.A rear mounts without the bushes. If you definitely want Grp.N there are some on ebay at the moment for £15.00 plus postage. Pic of mounts. Edited April 28, 2006 by jonD6B
SamGTi 0 Posted April 28, 2006 You mean just buy the Grp A kit, fit the rear mounts and then fit the rest when I can get round to it? Does the Grp A kit not make the car sit slightly higher as the mounts won't squash like the rubber ones do?

No difference in ride height whatsoever, and yes, you can use the solid rear mounts from the Group A kit without doing the front mounts (although to get the full benefit you'll need to do the lot)
Jonmurgie 2 Posted April 28, 2006 And I assume you'll be getting them from BakerBM? http://www.bakerbm.com/suspension.php?data=sar2 oh, and there are some guides that my help you over on my site: http://www.mdracing.co.uk/howto.asp
SamGTi 0 Posted April 28, 2006 Yeah, will be ordering from BakerBM, that's where I got my engine mounts from! And yeah I have read your article many times, thenks Jon! I have also been watching many of your track videos. Are you always the quickest car on track? Nobody ever seems to overtake you!
