Guest paulr Posted April 26, 2006 I dunno whether I'm just being over-careful but my 1.6 gets quite hot when crawling in traffic. Its standard engine wise and got a FPSH so its been looked after but gets to two main bars before red when in traffic. I've checked the fan and it works. The coolant level is fine and although I haven't viscosity tested it, looks to be fine.. I'm thinking that if its shouldn't be getting that hot then a sticky thermostat? No head gasket obvious signs either btw.. Your thoughts good puggians
Jonmurgie 2 Posted April 26, 2006 Sounds totally normal to me... the 205 temp gauge is quite sensitive and moves about a lot, as long as it goes back down when your driving normally then nothing to worry about

rich_w 0 Posted April 26, 2006 Should of brought a 309, the gauge doesn't seem to move as much
