C_W 3 1 Cars Posted April 26, 2006 I have a leak at the front of the engine, looks like its either the oil cooler pipes or the oil cooler sandwich plate. I rang my local Peugeot Dealer who are usually fine at getting parts for me, they said the oil cooler pipe o-rings they can get fine but hte sandwich plate o-ring they're not sure if they can get. Any one know where you can get one from?

Ahl 4 Posted April 26, 2006 I had a leak in the same place that turned out to be one of the pressure sensors above.
Ryan 99 Posted April 26, 2006 You mean the big one between the sandwich plate and the block? It's the same as the one on an oil filter.

I've just binned an oil filter that was only on for a few months, I did think of this but though the sandwich oil seal looks a bit thinner. I had a leak in the same place that turned out to be one of the pressure sensors above. Good idea, will check that out as the oil cooler sandwich plate and pipes haven't been disturbed for years now but the oil sensors have when I took the engine out after it set on fire (I took the engine out with the oil cooler still connected. Ryan 99 Posted April 27, 2006 It might depend on the filter you use. I've got a few spare filters of various brand lying around and some have the same size o-ring, some don't

It wasn't the thread that was leaking on mine, the diaphragm inside must have burst and an incredible amount of oil was coming out of the thing and leaving massive puddles everywhere. Unfortunately it was the last thing I changed.
