Corbeau Subframe

Recommended Posts

gti_al

Firstly, sorry to start another similar topic with others bouncing around, but this isn't actually addressed anywhere else.

Anyway, i've managed to pick up a bargain pair of corbeau buckets, but it seems that nobody in melb stocks their frames. (I've been on the phone all arvo without any results) As nobody deals with them, they also can't tell me if anything universal will fit.

Does anyone know if the base mounted frames from sparco/omp etc will fit? (if they exist)

Also, has anyone got any pics of base mount seats fitted? All i can find are pics of those with side mounts... As i'm 6'4 i need to find something that will sit fairly low - anyone got any recommendations?

Thanks

I have base mount Corbeau's

I'm 6ft and many stones in weight :) They fit me well, and are actually very comfortable. I also have the snap off wheel boss which moves the wheel closer to me though, and gives more legroom.

I have some more pics if you need any.

Thanks - that second one is exactly what i was after.

It looks like you have mounted them to the standard subframes in the same way i was thinking about doing it. I figured that it would be the easiest way to do it, even if it isn't ideal.

How much has the headroom improved over the standard seats?

I bought the seats with the frames, so dont think they are the std pug items, think they are Corbeau slidy frame things.

Not sure on headroom tbh, as its been so long since I had the std seats in I cant remember the difference between them :o

They are comfy though :)

They do bolt to the std floor fixings though.

Fair enough... They look remarkably like the standard sliders. Have you got any closer pics?

And i have no idea what i have bought, but it looks ok. I was going to offer him $400 for one seat, and he said i could have both and harnesses for $300. I won't use these harnesses, but that is still a bargain...

I'll try and get some closer pics for you - my camera uploader has stopped working for some reason, but will re-install it this week.
