Fitting A Carb'd 1.6 Lump For Now

Recommended Posts

Guest pugpowa

i'm gonna be slingin a 1.6 carb engine into the 205 while the bottom end gets rebuilt.

kinda thinkin all i need to run it is a coil? is this correct? got two ignition amps sittin under the bonnet at the mo, so can use one of these. the only gti loom that is left in the car is the sensor and rev counter wiring.all the rest is bx 16v loom all plumbed in.if i'm wrong about this being all i need to get the carb lump to run, please correct me!

also does anyone know what the car will be worth like this? to be sold with the mi lump with it, but not in it obviously! spec on engine is at the bottom in my sig

car spec is as follows -92j 1.6 non sunroof model in white,1.9badged 1.9alloys (smr) fully stripped and cleaned inside, all unused loom removed, custom made yellow harnesses, red sparco sprint fia marked seats and subframes, ebc drilled and grooved front discs, button start, original pug immob, aftermarket alarm and remote locking, ecosse clear rear lenses, smoothed tailgate, front spots removed as part of the track prep process,309gti steering wheel, alloy filler cap, sparco pedals, shiny gear knob and a custom wing vent.with 12monts mot.

any ball park figures much appreciated :D

edit - auto bonnet not on car anymore due to it being repaired(football damage) neither are the valbrem 5 spokes)
