Cam Oil Seals

Recommended Posts

Oil is leaking out of each side of the cam, where the timing belt sprocket and the brake vacume/power steering pully wheel are.

Looking back at thw manual it says to put the seals in with the ocker cover on. I realise now that I did not do this i put the rocker cover on afterwards. Is this why its leaking oil? both the seals are new.

the rocker is not connected to the cam seal carrier so this would not make a difference , its probably damage to the carrier (where the seal sits) that is causing the leak , but are you sure its the seals that are leaking? not the rocker gasket itself.
