No Brakes......................... Ahhhhhhhh.....

Well was kinda luckly really! I was sat in traffic this morning on a slight hill just holding the car on the brakes when all of a sudden I notice that I'm moving backwards! Press the peddle, stight to the floor! Bugger! Anyway slowly drive the car home, not far, using the hand brake and what foot brakes are left!

 

There is no fluid loss, and the fluid is clean.

 

If you stamp the peddle you get some braking for a short while then nothing. The peddle just travels to the floor.

 

My question is, servo or master cylinder? Or should I just do both?

 

 

 

Oh, well public transport for me! Use less I can get the wife to part with her 306!

You need a new master cyclinder. Mine did the same.

yeah - master cylinder

 

fairly easy job too - much easier than the servo anyway :D

 

bloody frightening when they go though - i remember i was flying along an a'road - press the pedal - nothing! f*ckittyf*ckf*ck :(

That is a scary story.

 

A failed servo would still leave you with brakes, so yeah, the M/C.
