hello, just got round to attaching my clutch cable to pedal, have read up here,but...

im sure i've got the right BE3 cable because the bulkhead fitting is spot on

but how does it attach to pedal,i snapped my last cable because i had the wrong type clutch

wich left me with white plastic bit broken??

if anyone could let me know i would rather appreciate it,i cant fathom it

I ordered up a new BE3 1.6 cable from ECP, the pedal attachment was the right one :)

But does it look a little short pic :( ie were it goes along the subframe and has extra padding on the cable

So would i be right in thinking ...

Rubber bung bulkhead = 1.6

Plastic angled bit = 1.9 ...i only say this, as i have both on BE1 cables.

Cheers

Sam.

I recently fitted a new cable to a friends 1.6 with a Be3 & the new cable was a little on the short side but it fitted Ok in the end.

I think some places stock two lengths of clutch cable & the shorter one is default first send.

I got a Be1 cable from GSF a few years ago with the angled end & it wouldn't fit my car at all. Went back to swap it for a Be3 with the old cable & they didn't stock any with the right bulkhead grommet. B)

Got a refund, went to a different french car spares place & got the right cable straihht away without them even seeing the old one (& for less).

Graham.
