Well you 'may' be able to bodge them together but to be honest, when it comes to seats, I wouldn't bodge anything... I kept a look out on eBay and other sites until I managed to grab a pair of subframes for my Monaco's for £50 :)

I tried that. I had corbeau forza's. I made up a bracket and it worked ok but the seats ended up too high to tilt, they hit the roof!

So it's fine if you dont want anyone in the back...

If you do it make sure it's all perfectly square, my first attempt was just a little bit out and it stopped them sliding back and forward. So was pretty useless altogether really! :wacko:

Just make up brackets and bolt em straight to them rather than messing about with sliding subframes, far more secure and means you can mount em lower.

with mine you can pretty much see what ive done here:

http://www.oddenhillfield.demon.co.uk/dg/seat.jpg

put a strip of steel across the mounting points on the shell and bolted the mounts onto that, then used the mounts to adjust the high and angle of the seat. Im quite tall but had no problems with the seat hight this way.

Hi,Yes mine are base mounted,i made up these :wacko:

bit of a pain to template,but work well i feel.

it was very low to start with so i boosted them up a little with the original plastic washers.

i was just going to make up some side mounts myself when i get my seats and weld crossbars like you have done d-9

would making the side brackets be legal? using 3mm steel or 6mm aluminum or something?

Not sure if that would be legal or not. This is what i did;

I had a sheet metal fabrication company make me up 2 plates witht the correct hole dimensions in. This allowed me to use the existing subframes.

Subframe1

Subframes2

Good way of doing it cause its cost effective and you still get to keep the slide and tilt operation. Only downside is that the plates are fairly heavy so would not be ideal for a track car. Those seats and plates are for sale should anyone be interested.
