robgti 0 Posted April 20, 2006 Hi all. just gt my car back after being stood for over a month and took it out and the only problem i can tell is that when i brake hard the steering wheel judders like mad. could it just be down to warped disks with it being stood? thanks
Jonmurgie 2 Posted April 20, 2006 Maybe, or it may just be the lack of use... try doing several really HARD breaking from a decent speed (60ish) and see if that cures it, if not then looks like a set of discs are in order...
deejay391 0 Posted April 20, 2006 Id try a few firm braking from 60ish rather than just jump on them... firmly just to clear the crap off the discs and make sure the calipers are all ok the ntake it from there, but i would have thought warped discs
robgti 0 Posted April 20, 2006 looks like it might be more money going to have to be spent on her. cheers for the replies

robgti 0 Posted April 21, 2006 had a blast out on my way to work last night and tried braking firmly. isnt doing it as bad now but think i will change the disks and pads as i have braided brake lines and some dot 5.1 brake fluid to put in.
nick 3 Posted April 21, 2006 Grease the sliders on the front calipers first. Mine juddered like mad with relatively new discs on, I greased the sliders and that cured it, I don't think the caliper was pulling up to the disc square. Nick
