neil54 0 Posted April 19, 2006 my poblem is similar to robs but at the moment the wee bugger wont start in the afternoon! it starts first thing and late at night but not after a short journeyduring the day any ideas the auto choke has been mentioned what do you reckon? neil Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Rob_the_Sparky 9 Posted April 19, 2006 Well extra air is added regardless of engine temp so it is unlikely to be that. Extra fuel is added based on water temperature so I guess it is possible but I've not heard of this being a problem before. Normally if the ECU temperature sensor goes then it initially runs a bit rich and then reads -40C when it gives up the ghost, clearly at this point it will hugely overfuel and will effect much more than just starting.
