mareksio 0 Posted April 18, 2006 My 205 Mi has been suffering from a rather persistent low-rev (<3000rpm) misfire that over the last week has got steadily worse, today culminating in it stalling at the lights and refusing to start again. Took off the dizzy cap and it didn't look great - in particular, the centre contact, which was covered in black stuff and seemed to only protrude from the plastic by about 1mm (also, thought they were supposed to be spring-loaded?). Does this sound like it's knackered? Looking at previous posts, the symptoms I've had certainly seem to point toward the cap/arm, but I've never seen a new cap, so not sure what it should look like...
