Guest BrainFluid Posted April 17, 2006 Noticed that my stdt has a central locking dome where the passengers reading light should be. The car didnt come with a remote though any ideas on how I can get it too work? Also noticed that the passengers side windscreen coloum was slightly loose , looked behind it and there is a wire bundle wrapped in black tape but also one red wire on its own that goes most of the way up the colum behind the trim but its not connected to anything . any ideas what its for? TEKNOPUG 3 Posted April 18, 2006 If you prise the plastic dome cover off from above the mirror, you'll se where a small circuit board is plugged in. You need to find another circuit board "with" a corresponding remote control and swap them over. Then it will work. As for the rogue wire, could be from any one of a number of aftermarket devices which a previous owner has fitted. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ryan 99 Posted April 18, 2006 Peugeot can get you a new keyfob for the remote locking if you give them the code number printed on the module inside the roof console. It's expensive though - ~£70 I think someone said. The only other choice is to find a 2nd hand set. You need both the module and matching fob, as sadly the fobs cannot be reprogrammed to work with your existing module. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
