What Wire For The Horn?

could anyone tell me what colour the wire is that operates the horn, also the washer motor.

The horn in my car is a blue wire.

 

Hope that helps, although mine is a later model with the relay for horn inside a black box next to the water reservoir unlike earlier models which *I think* have the horn relay near the n/s headlight.

 

Not sure about the washer motor - Im too lazy to go outside and have a look B)

On the phase 1.5 models the horn relay is one of the two mounted next to the expansion tank, on the bulkhead. The relay near the N/S headlight is for the driving lamps. The horn wire on my car is brown.

If the horn and washers aren't working, have a look at the bunch of earths that are screwed to the body near the n/s headlamp.

Clean these up or remake the connections, this may solve your problems.

sorted now, horn is the blue wire that comes from one of the relays by the scuttle and the washers was a white wire near the headlights, i was missing the fuse aswell tho! doh.

 

took the car out today for the first time in nearly two years, forgotten how raw they are lol.

yeah it is good, dont know if i could drive it everyday though, what amazes me most is the brakes, the ones on my cav are tragic, but in the pug they nearly put you through the window.

 

hoping it lasts more than two weeks this time though!
