j_turnell 137 3 Cars Posted April 12, 2006 Mates 106 has failed its mot on its beam being seized on the drivers side. How similar is it to a 205 beam?? can change those in my sleep, but not attempted a 106 beam, any major differences, it has drum brakes so obv cables and lines etc. Any help/ advice will be greatly appreciated. cheers, James Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Completely different. 205 tube is hollow with the bearings inside and the shaft pressed into the trailing arm, whereas on a 106 beam the tube has the shafts pressed in and the bearings run inside the trailing arms.
