Re-trim

hello there guys and girls. I've had a search, but what im after is a place that can do good retrims of cars in the south west. Ive got a g-reg ltd ed. sorrento car with the grey carpets and the full grey leathers seats inside. And i have the usual bolster sag, and they look a bit worse for wear after best part of 20 years.

Was hoping anyone could recommend a good retrimmers (?) down my neck of the woods. :D

Many thanks

Rich

depending on how bad the leather is you can do the bolesters yourself with the help of the guide on main site. if the leather needs re doing then a good place in west sussex is sur-trim not sure if that will be close enough for you tbh

You could try Swan Systems (otherwise known as Capital Seating) they arent near you but they do offer a pick and delivery service and their work is top notch. I used them to retirm my Recaro and whilst not that cheap the work was top notch.

There is Krych Trimming in Bristol who seem very good but they quoted me £350 per seat for a retrim in cloth so I'd end up spending significantly more than my car is worth.

I have used Bristol Interior Trim Centre before but Jamie, the fella that runs it, seems to have dissapeared off the face of the planet - they are never open now and their phone has been disconected. This all happened after he agreed to meet me and look over the work I wanted doing so they are probably best avoided at the moment.

You could also try David Nightingale Coach Trimming. They are based in Gastard (near Corsham). His work seems very good but he is quite busy at the moment and the lead in time was a couple of months when I spoke to David about a month or so ago. Plus I can't really afford a full retrim by Nightingale.

A cheaper option is J R Smiths in Swansea. They are very reasonably priced and their work seems pretty good too. Smiths were also recommended by tashnoodles who had a full retrim for her rover done in vinyl by them. I am getting them to do me a full retrim on the basis that I source the required cloth and arrange for the rallye badges to be embroidered into the cloth but to be honest they don't put much mark up on the materials anyway so I am only saving £30 or so. The only real downside is that they are 100 miles from Trowbridge but you can't have everything I suppose.

Anythow time will tell if you really do get what you pay for.

pm me if you want any contact details.
