Right my car is on the rollers next week to get the carbs setup.

I've done some preventative maintenance to make sure I get the most from the session. I've so far replaced leads, plugs, cap and arm. I've changed the filter and oil and got the wheels tracked and balanced.

Some might think the above is overkill but I want the car running as close to 100% when it goes on the rollers.

You got a good oil pressure? Checked the coolant level? No leaks on the exhaust gaskets?

Just out of interest mate, how are the tyres doing? i didn't do many miles on them, was just curious how well they're gripping and lasting...

Oil pressure is fine altho is was getting lower as the engine got hot on the old oil but I'm sure its running rich so could just be the oil thinning with fuel. Coolant has been checked and is fine :) exhaust gasket does leak slightly as I snapped a bolt in there  Next on my list of things to sort but its only minor and you can't even hear the ticking once its warm (probably because the carbs are too loud :( )

Tyres are doing well, very good grip in the dry plus I've not worn them out yet. Oh there rubbish in the wet. But I'm used to GS3 eagle F1's on all my other cars and they are good in both rain and sun :D

could check the oil dipstick to make sure it's still got its seal - i remember an operator once having to fetch a new stick from a local Pug dealer so he could finish the tune (disruptions in the oil breather circuit affect running)

It does lift slightly sometimes so that might be worth it. Cheers.
