Gentry_Ba 1 Posted April 10, 2006 (edited) Hi! I'm new to this forum and my english isn't very well (school...) *g* The Search hadn't found any answers for my problem. So I started a new topic! Since last week a friend of me and I try to install a XUD9TE engine from a 405 GRDT (1905ccm, 90hp, from 1992) in a 205 CTI from 1992 (1905ccm, 102hp) (diesel power in the cab *gggg* ) The Idea is very good, I think. Nobody here in germany we know has done such a conversion yet. (And the prices for gasoline- *ugh!?!* ) We putted out the old XU9J1 with the gearbox (I will take it both- it has only 81000km done!)... So before I continue with putting out the diesel from the 405, I first wanted to know the wiring diagram from this engine. I think the diesel hasn't got so many pins than the jetronic-XU9J1? I hope you can help me- i googled a lot but couldnt find the diagrams from the 405 turbo-diesel XUD9TE... Thanks a lot! Gentry_Ba 1 Posted April 11, 2006 Hi and thank you very much! I printed out the diagrams- but I think the colors of the cables and connectors are quite different to the 405 ones... (puuh, and I thought the diesel is very simple?! ) Has anyone else the diagram from the 405 Turbo Diesel? It would help me a lot! Thanks! This is a great forum (all the 2.0T drivers, Mi16 drivers, etc... Paradise! *g*) Matthias
Gentry_Ba 1 Posted April 14, 2006 (edited) HI again! The wiring from 405 is clear now... but has someone an idea where i can get the wiring diagram from the 205 Jetronic models? (especially the 205 CTI 1.9) I've seen the diesel hasn't got a ECU (how should it? its like a tractor-engine )- so i can clean the engine bay from the jetronic-wires. But in the same wiring are the cables from the "famous" brown multiplug near the gearbox! So I cant remove the whole wiring- I have to split it... I need the diagram from the jetronic-wiring or has somebody got an idea which cable is what on the brown multiplug? Cheers (what does this really mean? Good bye? Can I say greets? ) Matthias from bavaria Edited April 14, 2006 by Gentry_Ba
sonofsam 5 Posted April 14, 2006 Hello...Cheers means Thanks,Good health, salute, danke ... This is from the MI16 Cionversion wiring gude so should be applicable to your 1.9 CTI Plugs in the 205~under dash brown multi-plugs wich you can use to trace wires to gearbox multiplug,i think! 9 Pin Brown connector 1. Reverse light (wire 52, brown) 2. Reverse light (wire 53, purple) 3. Coolant light (wire 47, yellow) 4. Coolant meter (wire 47a, red) 5. Alternator (wire 7a, brown thin wire) 6. Oil pressure meter (wire 30, lilac) 7. Oil temp meter (wire 30a, white) 8. Oil pressure light (wire 30b, grey) 9. Switched positive (wire 2, light blue) 6 Pin Brown connector 1. Coolant fluid level (wire 47b) 2. Fuel pump (wire 76) 3. Coolant fluid level (wire M47B) 4. RPM meter (wire 112) 5. K-Light (wire 74) 6. Starter motor (wire 46) Hope this helps, good luck with your project, sounds cool .I Know nothing..when it comes to diesels. Cheers sam.
Gentry_Ba 1 Posted April 18, 2006 Hello Sam and thanks a lot!! The wiring from the 205 should be no problem now! Thanks!!! But I have a new problem now (nobody said its gonna be easy... ) I started to divide the 405 engine bay... oooooohh nooo?!?!?! I thought the wiring from the diesel is very easy.... But I learned something better- NO PLAN! The 405 has got a 17 pin round connector near by the right frontlight... and i have no plan what cable is what... The wiring-plan from the 306 hasn't got this connector... so it would be very helpful for me to get the wiring plan for the 405 model '93... (turbo diesel XUD9TE) Later I will post a few photos from our progress... *g* Cheers, Matthias
