Alex G 0 Posted April 9, 2006 When im just driving normally and coming to a roundabout, for example, when i let go of the throttle its a little jerky (not the mechanism, but the engine) and then jerky coming back on the throttle. it almost reminds me of the way the 8 valves drive. it happens at 25000rpm but only because thats usually how i drive my car...it would be the same at 6000rpm. This is a new revelation as it never used to do this! its just progressively become more noticable not to mention below 2000rpm the engine/car drives crap!! any help guys Cheers Alex. Wurzel 16 Posted April 9, 2006 Nothing to do with the throttle position switch is it? Perhaps worth checking the set up
Anthony 1,003 Posted April 9, 2006 Knackered bottom engine mount allowing the engine to rock about when you come on and off throttle?
saveloy 8 Posted April 9, 2006 Sounds like you could be running lean. This would cause low end/idle running problems and would also account for the jerkiness. Check for any split or loose pipes. Has your mpg status changed recently?
