davev 1 Posted April 7, 2006 hi, as ive got a bit of time im going to try and cure all/most of my rattles. i know its a hard, possibly impossible task but i might as well give it a go. my plan is to take as many things off as i can, and put something between when putting them back together to stop the rattles. the only problem is, i was thinking about using foam washers but cant seem to find any or even know if they exist(although im sure ive seen them on some plastics in cars). could anyone give me any ideas on where to get some from or even something eles to use. as im determined to make the car seem more of a quality ride while i can. cheers. dave. cybernck 402 1 Cars Posted April 7, 2006 maybe use rubber washers instead and pieces of foam where possible?
mareksio 0 Posted April 7, 2006 I had a go at this a while back - just bought a big selection box of rubber O rings, and used them as washers wherever there was a rattle - it did the trick!
davev 1 Posted April 7, 2006 (edited) did you get them from a local hardwear shop or from big places like b&q? i was thinking of things like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Set-of-Foam-Body...1QQcmdZViewItem but wandered if you could get them in bulk in the uk.
