Guest woll Posted April 6, 2006 Hey, I assume most of you have at some point had a coin tray where the catch won't catch anymore....Well both mine have been broken and I've never bothered to fix it. Now it just annoys me!! Can't figure out why it won't work and unless someone has a working black one to sell me, think i'm gonna superglue the damn thing shut! (I know not wise...be a struggle to get the dash off) Anyway, does anyone know how to fix the catch or has anyone come up with another way of keeping it shut (without using superglue) Thanks
Ryan 99 Posted April 6, 2006 What about a small peice of velcro on the inner edge where you can't see it? Or maybe magnets?

Foltan 0 Posted April 7, 2006 if you whack mine really hard it stays down for a few days, though im not sure how its sticks shut!
Baz 421 Posted April 8, 2006 Mine was broken when i first got it, can't remember how i got it to work though. I think the catch itself, although a bit small can be taken out,(?) so replaced with a working one, and the springy bit at the back i think i found a spring thingy somewhere and wedged it in, worked since. (5yrs nearly!) Failing that, keep the top part that's black, and get an old one that works and carefully put the black lid on that. I'm presuming it's not completely screwed though!! C_W 3 1 Cars Posted April 11, 2006 All the ones I've had have worked in the sense they open and close when you press down on them, just that the spring mechanism usually breaks so they dont spring open.

Dino 3 Posted April 11, 2006 When you order a catch from a Pug dealer it comes supplied with a new spring in the bag too. I can't believe so many people ask the question on here Oh and it only costs a pound or two IIRC

Michael Afraid not mate, just took in my broken one and went through it on their computer till we found it. They should have details of all the parts on their system. Good luck finding it.
