Solid Brake Lines On 309 Rear Beam.

Recommended Posts

Has anybody got a pic of the solid brake lines on the rear beam of a 309 gti?

I'm trying to get hold of some solid lines for my beam that has no brake lines on it yet and the pug dealer doesn't know what parts he should be ordering so some pics may help him.

Or are there any alternative ways instead of using solid lines? i.e braided flexies, are they as good?

Braided hoses can be used in place of the solids, the genuine ones from Peugeot sport did away with the solid pipes afaik.

The pipes are the same length as those on a 205 1.9 beam if you have access to one.

If not try getting in touch with Automec, they do a full kit but can supply individual pipes also afaik.

I think I have some downstairs, I'll have a look tomorrow & measure them if I have some.

Graham.

There's a couple of pics on page 8 and page 9 of my album, but they aren't very clear I'm afraid.

As I need a set of braided hoses made up for the front and rear anyway I might as well just make the rear flexi lines longer and not bother with the solid lines.

Cheers.

doing awat withthe solid lines brackets and adapters is a pain, as running braided over long distances needs more thought. I did it and never again :(

I copied the std solid lines on the beam, replacing the flexi hoses with Goodridge lines and the flexi hoses over the beam now replaced with goodridge also and go through into the car where I have ran solid lines again instead of long braided lines. The only metal brake lines on the beam go in an L type shape, one on each side!

Let me kow if you need a diagram or pics.
