timmsy19 3 Posted April 3, 2006 Hello again everbody. ive fitted in my electric windows and central locking motors. while changing the door locks icouldnt see a way for the motors to connect to them. Im just wondering how the central locking motors are conected to the locks? I assume its by a metal rod of some kind but also wondering will my locking have the right parts? for it to be fitted. car is a 1990 XE. pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted April 3, 2006 Door locks = door barrels or the catch mechnism? IIRC the door barrels aren't connected to the motors directly but they are by pushing the button up on the door which is connected to the motor at the catch. Graham.
