Alternator Wire Number Off Mulitplug?

Hey guys.

i am putting my mates 205 mi16 back togeather for him, and last bit of the wireing to do and i noticed that the multiplug that go's to all the sensors was smashed to bits so i could remember from mind what colour wires went where apart from two of them.

Basicly on the brown multiplug it is numbered 1-7, can someone please tell me what number the wire is that go's to the alternator?

9 Pin Brown connector

 

1. Reverse light (wire 52, brown)

2. Reverse light (wire 53, purple)

3. Coolant light (wire 47, yellow)

4. Coolant meter (wire 47a, red)

5. Alternator (wire 7a, brown thin wire)

6. Oil pressure meter (wire 30, lilac)

7. Oil temp meter (wire 30a, white)

8. Oil pressure light (wire 30b, grey)

9. Switched positive (wire 2, light blue)

awesome, thanks very much alough my brown pin connector only has 7 pins?

The brown multiplug im on about is the one in the engie bay itself and sits around the right hand side of the manifold and useually gets covered in loads of gunk and all the wires come from that that go to all the sensors incase you are on about the one inside the car by the bulkhead?

The list above is the brown multiplu under the dash with 9 pins.

 

3-9 go to the brown multiplug under the bonnet, the first two separate off to the reverse switch on the gearbox, so use numbers 3-9 above for the connectors.

 

And, if you're coolant gauge doesnt work, like mine didnt last week, swap the red/yellow wires on the thermostat.
