Electric Windows And Central Locking Problem

Recommended Posts

Guest djuk

After my recent attempts to get speaker wire from the front doors in my 205 into the footwell through the rubber grommit thing I seem to have done something which has stopped the electric windows and central locking on both sides working.

Can anybody suggest some obvious things I might have disconnected/dislodged?

Have you checked the fuses?

Yep, fuses all appear to be in one piece

You've obviously checked that you haven't dislocated the plugs attached to both motors by jarring the wires?

Today I've had the door cards off, checked the plug connections to the switches and the plug connectors just behind the dash at the drivers side, all seem to be firmly connected and connectors clean.

Have also replaced all of the fuses in the glovebox fuse box but still no luck :D

Any further suggestions? :D

David

Check the relays in the fuse box as these can sometimes come lose. You may have dislodged them a bit when doing the passenger side.

Have checked these just incase but this actually happened when I'd only done the drivers side which is bizarre <_<
