Do I Have The Correct Dampers?

Recommended Posts

Leon C

I Ordered a Bilstein sprintline kit the other day, but both my front dampers have the same part numbers as the "Sport" ones: V36-0545 and V36-0546!

Being that the sprintlines have a reduced stroke to the sport ones, shouldn't they have different part numbers?

The streetlines will be black and the sprintlines yellow.

Agreed. The Sprintline kits are bright Yellow with red springs.

No, I want to know if I've been given the sport dampers instead of the sprintline (like sport but with reduced stroke) dampers - both of them are yellow.

Sprintline kit & Sport possibly use the same shockers, under the Sport name for when you buy the shocks seperately & under Sprintline when you buy the kit.

Graham.

The product code you have is for the 'Sport' ones. The code (I think) for the 'Sprintlines' are BDK728. I thought the 'Sports' were a slightly different colour? Could be wrong.

The Sprint and Sport shocks are definitely different (sprints being shorter stroke). I think only the sprints come as a kit as well as individual shocks though.

The best thing to do is to phone Bilstein UK. Your shocks will have come from them anyway and they are very helpful. :D
