Dream Weaver 2 Posted March 31, 2006 I'm just re-arranging my servo vacuum setup at the mo to improve my brakes, and i've been looking at the tee-off from the servo pipe with the none return valve thing for the sunroof. There are 2 pipes leading from the servo pipe, one I assume goes to the sunroof reservoir under the scuttle panel, but where does the other one go? To the sunroof? It points down underneath the brake servo, but i cant get under to see where it goes from there.
StuartE 0 Posted March 31, 2006 Not 100% sure on this but looking at some of my pictures I would say the following. The pipe goes through the bulkhead where you say it goes out of sight coming out just above and right of where the accelerator pedal screws on as you look inside the car. It then follows the same route as all the wires going to the drivers door but goes up inside the A pillar with the aerial wire and on to the sunroof handle. Dream Weaver 2 Posted March 31, 2006 Thought as much, thanks though By my reckoning, the vacuum air goes through the none return valve, and then splits off to both the sunroof seal and the sunroof reservoir in the scuttle. The air up to the sunroof keeps it sealed, and the res box air means you can use that when the engine is off
Ahl 4 Posted March 31, 2006 The air up to the sunroof keeps it sealed, and the res box air means you can use that when the engine is off The vacuum is used to suck down the seal so you can open the sunroof, though thats maybe what you mean.
Pugnut 9 1 Cars Posted March 31, 2006 yeh , you normally get one 'shot' once the engine is off
Dream Weaver 2 Posted March 31, 2006 Yeah, wasnt sure if the vacuum keeps the seal up, or it sucks it down Because of the bike bodies, my brake servo isnt as strong as std so i'm doubling up the servo ports from 2 TB's instead of 1, then using a third TB to power the sunroof vacuum on its own. Hopefully that should work better
