Would I have any problms running 185/65/15 tyres on a standard 1.9 gti alloy? ust seen some for sale and didn't know if having a highter sidewall would cause any issues

A taller sidewall may loosen up the handling a bit due to the extra flex, your speedo will read about 6% slow, and they will be around 1½ inches taller overall, possibly causing clearance issues.

Well the tyres are some maxsport slicks for track days so most of the things you mentioned I'm not worried about and assume the sidewall should be ok.

Followed the lins in you sig, did you spray paint the plastic trims on your 205? always wanted to do mine as hate the wqay they change colour so quick

I used to run 185/55/15 Maxsports on the 15" rims, can't imagine what 65 profiles would be link though, horrible no doubt! I hope they are cheap, Maxsports are only £48 each new direct from Maxsport.

With regard to the trim comment, there are a couple of threads about how Paintguy and Myself refresehd the trims on our cars (both Topaz blue oddly!). It covers how they were done etc. Here's my thread: http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=49207
