Vag T.b On S16 Lump?

wud putting the VAG t.b on the s16 have the same advantages as it does when fitted to the 1.9mi??

im looking at modifying all of the standered inlet side og things at the mo dave.

 

thinning down the spindles in the t/b and inlet, opeing up all the ports slightly ang makeing sure the ports from the manifold to the head are the sames size.

I read into the VAG mod ages ago, and everyone that had made the mod took it off not long afterwards. Even maxi tried it more recently and wrote up his experiences

Is the inlet the same on an MI as a GTI-6? Would a dcoe carb manifold from an MI engine fit a GTI-6?

Yes, all inlets are the same port spacing and stud pattern.

 

There is a dowel which needs removing to fit the 1.9 inlet to the 2ltr mi but i'm not sure about gti6 (though the gti6 inlet fits the 2ltr mi)
