Guest TSL 333 Posted March 29, 2006 Would it be possible to contact Magnex? They at least could probably answer your question if not.
hengti 2 Posted March 29, 2006 it's an inherent flaw in the design. the knuckle joint is rubbish and, because of the properties of stainless exhaust systems, it's going to sound 'tinny and pingy' i cut the wretched joint off mine and have since tried three different joints - two flexi joints and one knuckle joint of a different design the flexi joint i've ended up with is bosal part no 265707. It's stainless and about £35. Should be able to order one from any exhaust supplier - most of them do bosal. it's best to tig weld it on if at all possible it does help, but it's still going to sound a bit like it's blowing (re. prev comments about stainless steel)

It's stainless and about £35. Should be able to order one from any exhaust supplier - most of them do bosal Any suggestions on companies ? ? i did a search for flexi joins but didnt come up with anything suitable..... hengti 2 Posted March 29, 2006 try doing a 'google local' search on exhaust suppliers in your area
speedy indy 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Will this be OK to replace the knuckle joint ? Link Thanks for your help.....
hengti 2 Posted March 30, 2006 that's pretty much what I've used, except you'll need to find one with longer pipes coming out of it - as you need to sleeve the system into/over it you'll need to have a sit down and have a think about how it's all going to match up as well - don't just get the angle grinder out!
