Saab Turbo/injectors

Recommended Posts

Me and a mate have spotted a saab 9000 2.3 turbo in the scrappy. What turbo does this engine run and are the injectors worth much at all as i believe they are capable of flowing a lot of fuel? Cheers.

They flow about 315cc I think - I bought some off ebay for £45 but they dont work too well on my setup for some reason.

Super Josh

If they are part number 280 150 431 then, according to the Bosch datasheet on Sean's Website they flow 359cc/Min @ 3 Bar fuel pressure and are 12 Ohms impedance, and they are red in colour.

Using the standard rule of thumb to calculate the amount of Horsepower these will support at an 80% duty cycle

Injector flowrate / 5, then multilpy by number of injectors, so....

359/5 * 4 = 287BHP @ 3Bar.
