Confused About Driveshaft Replacements

Recommended Posts

GLPoomobile

Hi

Have been looking at replacement driveshaft's and there doesn't to be much difference price wise between exchange units (Neat Autos, Autofive) and new ones (GSF). Is there any difference in quality?

Also, when you buy replacements, does the O/S one come complete with the middle section, intermediate bearing and outer section? Seems strange that it's the same price as a N/S one as there is more to it.

I'm referring to 1.9 shafts by the way.

GKN offer two different ones afaik, budget & GKN. I've bought GKN ones from them & they are lasting well. Better than a budget one I had previously.

Yes, the o/s driveshaft comes complete with intermediate bearing & shaft the runs behind block.

Graham.
