All except the BX 19GT Digit which wasn't sold in the UK anyway.

and now I look at one it turns out they are also green.. I'm sure I remembered them being predominantly red.

Still, I'm presuming that all you have to do is pull your dash head off and replace the white bulbs with green ones though.

To be honest I got half way through doing this then found out that the few green bulbs that i was going to try were too big...

I'ld forgotten all about it untill now, which reminds me I only put half the screws back in in the meantime...that was 3 months ago now.

Nate.

Is that the case? The 205 bulbs are white and it is the backings of the clocks that are orange.

Nope, not really possible to check the instrument colour without removing the orange filters, and unless someone knows otherwise that's looks to be a hell of a lot of work.

Better off just buying some clocks from an BX 16v or early (non-Motronic) BX GTi - they'll drop straight in place of the 205/309 clocks and will be green backlit. I believe they all also have the digits/values on the oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp gauges - certainly mine do and so have others I've seen.

They're my BX clocks from a BX GTi <_<

That BX is SO cool! Any ideas what the little keypad next to the stick is? I saw an elederly BX GT in the scrappy on friday and noticed the keypad.

the keypad is a trip computer, works out fuel economy and distance remaining in the tank etc. they never worked, even in 1985.
