309 Goodwood Water Leak

Recommended Posts

Revla

Hi,

As stated above, have sealed the rear lights but seems to fill up along the inside of the

rear slam panel, seep out of the seam along the width of the boot and run to the seat well.

I've had other 309's with leaks before.... but this is mything me!

Maybe sunroof drain holes blocked - it was under a tree for about a year!

Any help appreciated, otherwise its being broken for parts! (I'm keeping the rear beam though!) :D

Cheers

Trev

Drill a few holes under the rear seat so it drains out.

309s always leak.

have you checked the seal on the rear screen wiper if this is perished it will run into the tailgate and then down thro latch and out of the rear panel

At the end of the day they are better than 205s, so I guess you can forgive them the odd damp patch.

Not like every 205 out there doesnt have a patch of rust under the back seats anyway :)

I have just traced the leak in my 309 to the rear light clusters. The seal is Knackered and the water was flooding the boot in a heavy downpour. The car still has 2 more leaks so will have to find those now!! Hope this helps

Thats almost certainly the windscreen seal, however its also worth replacing the fabric washers that seal the sunroof handle (very cheap from pug) and the washer that seals the arial on.
