Guest djuk Posted March 27, 2006 Just bought a new 1990 1.9 GTI and there after some heavy rain there appears to be some water leaking in around the sun roof handle and dripping down. I would assume other people must have encountered this before but is there a known fix for it? Thanks David
Dream Weaver 2 Posted March 27, 2006 (edited) Yes, the rubber washers under the sunroof screws need replacing. I used some old record deck rubber slipmats for mine cut up, or just find some rubber washers at B&Q etc. Edited March 27, 2006 by Dream Weaver

jackherer 543 Posted March 27, 2006 you can still get the correct fibre washers from peugeot dealers, my local one has them on the shelf for 23p each!
greig 0 Posted March 27, 2006 i had the same problem, but on mine the screws were totally rusted meaning i couldnt remove them to fit a new washer. to avoid having to drill them out i used a small bit of clear bathroom type sealant. bit of a bodge but has done the trick! Dream Weaver 2 Posted March 29, 2006 Yes, the aerials leak as well - just put some clear silicon around it underneath.
