Suspension Components - Coilovers

Just got my Avo's delivered, so as I'm currently rebuilding the front end on my Goodwood, I may as well replace everything. Obviously, wishbones, track rod ends, droplinks, bushes, etc are all being replaced, but my question is, what else, if anything, do I need to fit the coilovers?

I'm looking at adjustable top mounts from compbrake.co.uk (£40 each, part number CMB239), but don't know what else I need to fit the Avo's, excluding the obvious (cups, springs, bump stops, etc). I'm guessing I'd still need to use top mount rubbers, but do I use standard/group N 205/309 ones, or are there special ones for the coilovers?

Anybody know of any cheaper/better top mounts? What's the difference between eccentric and concentric? As the car isn't going to be used on the track, but will be mainly on country roads, would adjustable top mounts be necessary?

Where would be the best place for uprated 309 wishbones, if there are any(!), and does anybody know of any rose-jointed droplinks? I'm sick of replacing my standard ones!

I apologise for my ignorance, and all help/opinions greatfully received! ;)

James

the eccentric top mounts from comp brake will not fit without modification to your avo coilovers.

if you're not bothered about gaining the extra negative camber just go for grp-n rubber in the standard top mounts.

Sounds nice and easy to me! Is there anywhere that sells new top mounts? I know you can get the kit with bearing and rubber, but can you get new metal mounts?

Just out of curiosity, how would the eccentic top mount not fit? Are they designed for a Bilstein coilover, and what would the difference be?

Cheers

James

Those eccentric topmounts fitted ok to my avo coilovers, just had to use a reccessed top nut.

More pics available if you need them bigchief !

sleeve nuts are part of the standard eccentric top mount fitting kit. standard AVO coilovers will STILL need modifying to fit to eccentric top mounts, there just isn't enough thread for the nut to reach through the spring pans an grip the strut securely
