kyepan 291 Posted March 21, 2006 Finally got the car running right last night, and am so pleased, as bar the engine mount noise, its running how i would like.. previously the vacum diaphram unit on the back of my replacement distributor had broken , you could suck through it.. replaced it last night with the one off the old dizzy, and wow, what a difference. idle used to mis behave at around 600rpm when warm, and nearly stall alot. fixed and the idle is now perfect 900-1000 and stable, it has also smoothed out neutral throttle driving which was like constantly being jiggled around, when your just coasting along. Much better car to drive, shows what a tiny air leak, and lack of vacum advance will do to the engine. ps this is an mi16 with 8v management. regards Justin Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
