Guest cips007 Posted March 20, 2006 Hi all,got a little prob with my pug. When first starting from cold the revs are about 1200rpm,but until engine reaches normal running temp the revs seem to be staying high at about 1500,if i dip the clutch the revs do drop to 1000 but raise back up to 1500 almost immediately.Only when at full operating temp do the revs actually settle down and stay at 950. Any ideas on this one Cheers Chris
jackherer 543 Posted March 20, 2006 its normal for the revs to be a little higher when cold although 1500 is perhaps a bit too high. First thing to do is remove the idle screw and clean it thoroughly then put it back and set the idle to 950 when warm. If you still have problems then do a search as bad idling is probably the most discussed topic we have!
