Electric Speed Sender?

Recommended Posts

James_R

hi Guys, I've got a motorbike dash from my nova going spare since I won't be running that car for well over 12months+ now,

IMG_0385klein-cut.JPG

it needs a pulsed input for the vechiles speed, on vauxhall there was a trandcuder you could screw in where the cable normally went to allow this, is there anything similar on pugs I could use to let me run this niffty toy in the 205??

Many thanks James

Thats very cool,i would hazard a guess as saying you need a vehicle speed sensor, like i needed for my turbo conversion,i put some pics up recently. The unit you need has speedo cable worm drive and electronic plug on it.

wouldnt know if it were compatable with your unit,,i fancy one of them

compatible = unit pulses, you can get the wheel Diameter from 1mm-3999mm so 1mm to 4metres, so even if it's pulsing a few tiems a rotation it's still fine, can you post the pic up here please??

Unit has peak recall for rev and speed, has clock, trip, total time, trip time and so on, loads of goodies rammed in a small unit. was onmly £80 too and 140grams

That's cool (and light)... where did you get that from and how will that work with the revs?

Xantias have an electrical speedo sender that is the same as the 306 ones but doesnt have the pass thru for the mechanical cable but if you are totally replacing the mechanical speedo that shouldnt matter.
